Safe and Strong – Helping Families Stay Safe and Connected

What is Safe and Strong?

Safe and Strong is a free support program for women and children who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, family violence. It’s part of the Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) program funded by the NSW Government.

The program helps families get support early—before things get worse. It’s about keeping families safe, strong, and connected.

Who is it for?

  • Women and children who have experienced or are at risk of family violence
  • Families who need help to feel safe and supported
  • Aboriginal families and communities, with culturally safe and trauma-informed care

What support is available?

We offer:

  • Advocacy: helping you speak up and get what you need
  • Case coordination: working with you to plan and manage support
  • Counselling: someone to talk to who understands
  • Referrals: connecting you with other services like housing, health, or legal help.

You can get support for as long as you need it.

Why is this program important?

Family violence can affect every part of life—health, relationships, and children’s wellbeing. Getting help early can make a big difference. Safe and Strong is designed to:

  • Build safety and trust
  • Strengthen families
  • Help children feel secure and supported.
