What are IPAs?

Individual Placement Agreements are short-term, culturally responsive residential care arrangements for Aboriginal children and young people. They are designed to meet urgent or transitional care needs while ensuring cultural safety and community involvement.

Who is it for?

IPAs are for:

  • Aboriginal children and young people requiring immediate or transitional care
  • Families and agencies seeking culturally safe placement options
  • Communities advocating for care that reflects cultural identity and healing

What support is available?

We offer:

  • Culturally responsive residential care
  • Behaviour Support Plans tailored to individual needs
  • Daily routines and activities that promote healing and cultural identity
  • Staff trained in therapeutic care and Aboriginal cultural safety
  • Structured onboarding and exit planning
  • Minimum guaranteed placement period of one week
